We arrived at the frontier town of Darkwater and received a map to the Twisting Cave. If rumors are to be believed

• a dread pirate Red Maria buried her treasure there
• the cave is full of bats
• there’s a mosquito the size of an elephant within the cave

Exploring the cave we fought proboscis-faced bat-winged monstrosities small and large. We survived to return to Darkwater for a night or carousing that earned us the friendship of the local Bard.
