The adventurers braved Castle Ravenloft, exploring the cathedral, the upper tower, the greenhouse and finally confronting the devil Strahd in the lowest catacombs. Strahd was slain by Larad, wielder of the sunsword in a tense battle that was a good test of Shadowdark’s death’s door rules.

We also learned that in Shadowdark the party doesn’t stop until the Priest is out of turn and rebuke spells.

Dread

Dread is renowned as a narrative game with a Jenga tower no dice. I heard two tower falls. Update from Jason: In Dread four college students and a guide went into the Grand Canyon, had a couple of run-ins with a werewolf, and two students and a near-death NPC came out.
